38th Annual Birmingham Ethnic Festival

Description

One of Toledo's oldest and most popular ethnic festivals is now a two day event. Among the offerings: St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, the Hungarian Club of Toledo, VFW Post 4906 and Calvin United Church of Christ will feature their famous chicken paprikas and kolbasz dinners, as well as Hungarian pastries, paprikas noodles & gravy, kolbasz sandwiches, stuffed cabbages, and szalona sutes. Ethnic dance groups will entertain and vendors will be set up all along the street. The Annual Waiters Race will take place on Saturday, with a recognition ceremony on the steps of St. Stephen’s Church on Sunday at noon. The festival will kick off with a parade at 12:30pm on Saturday led by the Cakewalkin’ Jass Band in honor of the 80th anniversary of Tony Packo’s.

Saturday, 12-10pm; Sunday, 12-9pm.
